Slide Gate Operator

A slide gate operator is a mechanical device designed to automate the opening and closing of a sliding gate, typically used in residential, commercial, or industrial settings for security and controlled access. It operates by moving the gate horizontally along a track, usually parallel to the fence or wall, using a motor-driven gear or chain system.

These operators are equipped with a motor (either AC or DC), a control panel, limit switches to determine the open/closed positions, and safety features such as obstacle detection, emergency release, and optional backup power systems. Depending on the application, slide gate operators vary in size and power, supporting gates ranging from lightweight residential models to heavy-duty industrial gates.

Swing Gate Operator

A swing gate operator is a mechanical device used to automate the opening and closing of swing gates—gates that open inward or outward like a door, pivoting on hinges. There are a couple different types of swing gate operators, the main 2 being floor mounted operators such as the one pictured above , and actuator arms which are typically post mounted and function like pistons pushing and pulling to cycle the gate open or closed. These operators are commonly installed in residential, commercial, or industrial settings to enhance convenience, security, and access control. Swing gates are best utilized in spaces where there is not enough space for a slide gate, allowing even the tightest of spaces to be secured and safe.

Access Control

Access control for gates refers to the methods and systems used to regulate and manage who can enter or exit through a physical gate or barrier. It’s commonly used in places like residential communities, commercial buildings, parking lots, and secured facilities.

The goal is to restrict access to authorized individuals while keeping unauthorized people out. Or simply to make your life easier when it comes to accessing your property.

Common types of gate access control systems:

~ Keypad entry – Users enter a PIN code to open the gate.

~ Card or RFID readers – Users swipe a card or tag to gain entry.

~ Remote control – A wireless remote opens the gate from a distance.

~ Intercom systems – Visitors communicate with someone inside who can grant access.

~ Cellular access devices- A device that plugs into the the control board of your gate operator utilizing WiFi or a SIM card to allow the user to access their gate through the cell phone via an app based controller. This allows users to set timed schedules for a gate to be open or closed at specified times as well as adding and removing selected users to allow them access to the gate and property.
